GRANT AWARDS

APA RI occasionally applies for grants to further our mission, build capacity, and create stronger partnerships. Please reach out to us if you think we’d make a good grant partner!

Examples of grants we have administered:

Plan4Health Cohort 2

Our Chapter worked with the Mt. Hope Coalition to Increase Food Security on this neighborhood grass roots effort. Partners and supporters included the Rhode Island Food Policy Council, Brown University, Billy Taylor House, and Green Circle Design. Planners4Health: Visualizing Food Access in Rhode Island

Under the Planners4Health grant program, APA RI partnered with the Rhode Island Food Policy Council (RIFPC) and the State’s Director of Food Strategy to develop an interactive map-based food access tool and an interactive Story Map. The Story Map introduces people to the key concepts of food access and food security while walking them through the data layers and functions of the map. Map development and other technical aspect of the project were led by the outstanding efforts of food system consultant Karen Karp & Partners (KK&P). More information on the products related to this grant effort can be found here.
